My cousin and his fiance’ were married two summers ago. I was honored to host a bridal shower brunch for our side of the family. Hosting parties is an all-time favorite for me. I typically go overboard ( I just can’t help myself!), but very much enjoy the planning, prep-work and hosting. I gave the bride-to-be the choice of brunch or lunch and she selected brunch. Breakfast is my favorite meal, so I had no problem putting together a brunch menu. For the theme, I knew I would use orange as a starting point, as this was one of their wedding colors. I added pink and hearts for fun and girly touch. To honor the bride, Michelle, I highlighted her first initial “M” on the invitations and incorporated a letter theme throughout the decor.
The pink, orange and grey invitations included a collection of fun fonts on crisp white card stock. Final touches included rounded corners, bakers twine and pretty alphabet paper to line the envelopes. The decorations were even more girly with touches of pink, orange and white. A hint of lace, pink flowers, a white wooden letter “M”, white felt wreathes, a basket of oranges and kettle corn popcorn favors. And, we cannot forget the yummy brunch menu: fruit parfait, chocolate chip pancake bites with maple syrup, sausage egg cups, fresh fruit, donuts and mimosas.
Did those photos make you hungry or was it just me? I could go for a snack. Or, breakfast. 😉 What is your favorite detail? I am still swooning over that flirty font called Peach Sundress. Isn’t it charming?
