The Engagement Photos: usually one of many exciting events typically occurring on the front end of planning a wedding. This event may excite most, scare others and make the guys run for the hills. Don’t let your e-session worry you. I assure you that you’ll find a great photographer, figure out what to wear, get your hair styled just right. It will all work out, okay? If you don’t believe me, lean on a few of my good friends: Google and Pinterest, to help guide you. You’re photographer can help, too! Not only is it a great opportunity to work with and get to know your photographer, before your wedding day, you also get many great photos of you and your love to cherish forever. Some couples use their favorite photo on their Save the Date announcements. Here are a few other great ways to use those fabulous photos for and after your wedding day:
- Wedding Website (if you’ve purchased the rights from your photographer)
- Thank you gifts to Parents, Grandparents and other special guests in your wedding party
- Christmas Gifts
- Holiday Cards
- Home Decor like an oversized canvas or photo collage
Our photographer, Mark Schlanser, suggested the location for the engagement photos. The photos in the gallery below were taken downtown Minneapolis in the Guthrie Theatre, Mill City Museum and and Mill Ruins Park. We had a great time during our engagement session and love the way our photos turned out.
There are so many great locations in Minnesota to take engagement photos. If you feel stumped about where to take your photos, be sure to ask your photographer for suggestions. Where are you taking your engagement photos?
